Some of you might have thought wait what is she talking about? Fashion is supposed to have no rules, and you are correct. The rules are to live by no such thing.
Yes, the society stare might sometimes remind you that you need to step harder and chin up for your aesthetic and style beliefs.
On a positive note, this generation is determined to actively involve more independence for everyone, which is a beautiful place to start and create.
I am myself is a work in progress in becoming this example for an immigrant woman who is paving her way to the Fashion industry as a creative, entrepreneur, and blogger.
My rules are simple, being myself and blessing my entourage with my gorgeous presence.
Wear your smile
My smile is my best outfit, I take it with me everywhere I go, my energy is crucial to me, my smile is my way to introduce myself. A genuine smile goes a long way.
See beauty in others
As a creative, I observe a lot; my environment is primarily the source of my inspiration; I am open to new and different aesthetics as I usually would create, always looking a step further and appreciating arts in all forms.
Walk confidently
Do not be afraid to step, your walk can make or break you honey, either you are running errands in your casual tees or looking fabulous in your latest dress acquisition, walk like you are the top model opening the Fashion show.
Smell like roses
Think of your scent like your ID, you leave impressions in your surroundings, and can people recognize your presence by your “sillage”. I always layer my scents so I can create a more mystery regarding which perfume I am wearing and to last longer on my skin.
Be comfortable in your skin
I know it sound cliche to say be confident in yourself, nonetheless it’s true, the more you are feeling plush and assuming your style, the ripple effect of your comfort will spread and the more you will impact positively your entourage.
Remember a total stranger might recognize you by your smile, your reaction to a good morning, the way your entry the lobby of hotel, the scent you wore that day and just being yourself and that is always a Fashion statement.
