Concernedly smelling good has always been part of the equation of looking good. In true Haitian Fashion “ nou flite pafen avan pou foto nou soti pi bel”.
I have come to realize over the years the importance of quality scents and niche perfumes. I went from having collections of hundreds of bottles to lesser flacons and durable sillage.
I also layer, mix and match my scents, to create first a unique smell I feel fresh and “Santi bon” all day long, and second, I also build a mystery when it comes to which brand and niche I have on for the day. It keeps people asking what you are wearing. (Blinking emoji).
I have a penchant for earthy, green, musk, jasmine, and patchouli-based scents therefore my list is mostly scents that are subtle, not all over your nostrils type of feels, a very modern approach, feminine and fresh.

I consider my cologne collection as the base of my sillage, on a daily routine I apply my body lotion, spray on my body splash, and one of my favorite colognes.
My top three are wood sage and sea salt, Poppy & Barney, and finally English pear and Freesia.
One more tip for having cologne as your go-to smell is these fragrances are yearlong suitable scents.

In one of my recent window shopping, I came across this Maison du Parfum brand niche and the scents are all we need for spring. The sillage is elegant and sophisticated perfect to layer with cologne for more mystery and a unique scent.
