Since 2020, in my opinion, there has been a positive shift for Black and POC Fashion Brands. These artists, designers, and creators have worked all these years wholeheartedly. Many of those brands are globally recognizable and staples in fashion collections and fashion lovers.
Do these brands have space or, better say, enough space? Respectfully so NO, yes, they advance positively in recognition of their hard work and genius talent; nonetheless, we are only looking at the tip of the iceberg. There is a space we have not to touched yet, which is the billion-dollar space.
If you are new here, I constantly support black creativity and arts. One of my blogging goals is to enrich my readers about which brands are must-haves for your following bags, shoes, and garments and elevate your look with comfort and style.
Virgil Abloh
Christopher John Rogers
Dapper Dan
Our generation’s prowess, a true Artist, opened so many doors and paved the way for so many. His love and passion for The Fashion industry were reflected in his art.
His talent is immense, the creativity and style, the luxury affordability, the sizes inclusivity. He checked all the cases for me, and I know the best is yet to come when it comes to this young talented designer.
I have come across this fantastic person by researching on the web. His story has strengthened my doubts. He is a legend and treasure. Thank you, Dapper Dan, for paving the way and defining that hard work always pays off.
Anifa Mvuemba
Victor Glemaud
She is so innovative in her creativity and has the gift to design pieces that embody “La Femme.” Sophistication, robust and vibrant is what comes to mind when looking at her brand.
Luxury statement knitwear is this talented designer staple. Pieces for all gender, race and sizes is, the synergy of comfort and style that is remarkable.
So many more artists and designers merit all the ink and global impact they have established on the Fashion Industry. So, what I am trying to express is that we are in a good position, but there is a lot more work to be done.
It wouldn’t be nice to make a trip to the mall and next to the Gucci store is Off – White store, and next to Louis Vuitton is the Christopher John Rogers one, next to Stella McCartney is Anifa Mvuemba ? Yes, it definitely would, and until we have this much space and beyond, let’s always remember that this generation of designers and creatives is paving the way and opening the doors for this dream to come true.
